Megan Siepka

is a Brooklyn based dancer and choreographer from Richmond, Virginia. She completed her BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography with honors at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020. In the same year, she debuted her professional career with VALLETO and was commissioned and produced by several Richmond-area arts institutions including Henrico Center for the Arts, her alma mater, and local music artists burwell and Mad Abbey. Through her undergraduate and supplemental studies, she became familiar with repertory works by Sidra Bell, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Gaspard Louis, Christopher Kaui Morgan, Ohad Naharin, Andrea Miller, Crystal Pite, and Trebien Pollard. In 2022, Siepka attended Springboard Danse Montréal where they performed in works by johannes wieland and Annamari Keskinen. Siepka was a member of the inaugural GibneyPRO cohort under the direction of Gilbert T. Small II, Alexandra Wells, and Bret Yamanaka in which they performed in works by Bryan Arias, Elia Mrak, Laja Field, Rena Butler, and Maleek Washington. Siepka is a current member of WHITE WAVE Dance Company, Era Dance Company, and will begin working with Baye & Asa on an evening length work commissioned by the Baryshnikov Arts Center and American Dance Festival in the fall of 2023. Their choreographic endeavors reach beyond the typical concert realm, and has recently extended into commercial spaces including music videos and fashion runways. They assisted in directing movement for the Helmut Lang Spring / Summer 2024 and LAPOINTE Spring 2024 Collections in New York Fashion Week, and also choreographed the music video to “Lexicon” from singer-songwriter Vagabon’s latest album, “Sorry I Haven’t Called.” They have both presented work and performed at Richmond’s Grace Street Theater, Henrico Center for the Arts, Gibney’s Agnes Varis Performing Arts Center, Arts on Site, Spark Theatre Festival, Norfolk State University, New York Live Arts, and PAGEANT.
